This next trip will be the longest yet, a little more than 4½ months. I don't have a lot of money, but it's not a very expensive place to visit if you have people you can stay with. I'm taking my beloved D40 again, hopefully with a Speedlight (my in-camera flash stopped working properly) and extra lens if I can get some money (about $300 for both). I'll also have some free time, so I'll probably be uploading a lot of images while I'm there instead of waiting to get back.

Okay, this is ridiculous. I was whining that I didn't want to sell my camera, but I had to because I needed money... and it turns out I can't even sell the thing. I've put it up on craigslist, had the journal entry here, asked all my photography-loving friends... and nothing. So all the whining about needing a few hundred bucks and having to sell the camera to make the money was pointless... I lived without the money and I still have the camera. Oh well, time to think of something else to whine about...

Gah, I hate money. If anyone is interested in buying a Nikon D40 in like-new condition... body kit lens (AF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II) charger (MH-23) (and battery... duh) strap data cable (duh) NO video cable ...and a 4GB Kingston SDHC card to go along. Everything is in like-new or "excellent-plus (EX+)" condition. The sensor is clean, too. Asking $350 for everything, plus shipping if you're not in/around Central Jersey.
